Eating disorder that was diagnosed before pregnancy and pregnancy outcome
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine the association of an eating disorder that was diagnosed before pregnancy and a preterm delivery and/or the delivery of a low-birth-weight or small-for-gestational-age infant. It concluded that women who were hospitalized for an eating disorder diagnosed before pregnancy were at increased risk of impaired pregnancy outcome.

Side-to-side differences in transcranial Doppler parameters in normotensive and preeclamptic pregnant women
Article Abstract:
Forty-one preeclamptic women and 50 normotensive pregnant women were studied and Transcranial Doppler ultrasound was used to measure peak, end-diastolic, and mean velocities in both middle cerebral arteries (MCA). The conclusion drawn was that preeclampsia does not appear to induce greater side-to-side velocity differences in the MCA distribution.
