The relationship of pregnancy to the use of highly active antiretroviral therapy
Article Abstract:
Pregnant women with HIV infection are less likely to be given highly active antiretroviral therapy than non-pregnant women. Highly active antiretroviral therapy is a combination of two or more drugs, whereas many pregnant women are only given zidovudine.

Evolution of cervical abnormalities among women with HIV-1: evidence from surveillance cytology in the Women's Interagency HIV Study
Article Abstract:
Most HIV-infected women will not develop precancerous cervix abnormalities, according to a study of 1,639 HIV-infected women and 452 HIV-negative women. Only 6% of the HIV-infected women developed such changes.

Effect of antiretroviral therapy on the incidence of genital warts and vulvar neoplasia among women with the human immunodeficiency virus
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to determine the incidence and predictors of genital warts and vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia among women with the human immunodeficiency virus. The incidence of warts among women who are human immunodeficiency virus seronegative is 1.31 versus 5.01 per 00 person-years among women who are seropositive, whereas the incidence of vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia is 1.31 versus 4.67 per 100 person-years.
