Effects of a low-glycemic load diet on resting energy expenditure and heart disease risk factors during weight loss
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to test whether dietary composition affects the physiological adaptations to weight loss, as assessed by resting energy expenditure. The result indicates that changes in dietary composition within prevailing norms can affect physical adaptations that defend body weight.

Association between C-reactive protein and age-related macular degeneration
Article Abstract:
The association of elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) with an increased risk for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is investigated. C-reactive protein (CRP) may implicate the role of inflammation in the pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
