Fears over Tamiflu side-effects
Article Abstract:
Nurses are worried about the possible side-effects of oseltamivir (Tamiflu), the key defence against a possible pandemic of influenza, following warnings that the drug could be linked to psychological disorders, suicides and death in children. The European Medicines Agency has stated that there is no evidence to link the drug to psychological disorders and as the rate of suspected side-effects are very low, product information in the UK is not changed.

Lack of diagnostic evidence puts chlamydia screening to test
Article Abstract:
The screening for chlamydia, the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI), has not been very successful, as apart from the lack of finance, the trusts are not even equipped with a recording system and a diagnostic evidence for the same. Different kinds of testing, with different facilities and testing methods should be put into practice to overcome the major problem of the screening of the disease, dwhich cannot be ignored.

What caused the flu vaccine crisis?
Article Abstract:
Flu vaccine shortages have left practice nurses struggling to cope with demand. The increased uptake is a result of more practices actively encouraging eligible people to have the jab, which was fuelled by increased payment for hitting vaccination targets set by the DoH as part the General Medical Services.
