Fetal hypertension and abnormal Doppler velocimetry in an ovine model of intrauterine growth restriction
Article Abstract:
The hypothesis that systematic blood pressure (BP) is increased above normal in intrauterine growth restricted (IUGR) fetal lambs with elevated umbilical artery (UmA) Doppler indices are tested. The animal study reveals that indices are consistent with a fetal-placental hypertensive state.

Differences in fat and lean mass proportions in normal and growth-restricted fetuses
Article Abstract:
Fetal subcutaneous fat and lean mass areas as predictors of fetal growth restriction were assessed. Reveals revealed that fat-to-bone proportions can distinguish the gestational age fetus with growth restrictions from the constitutionally small fetus.
