Clozapine: indications and implications for treatment
Article Abstract:
Clozapine is used to treat psychosis. Although it is an neuroleptic drug, it has few extrapyramidal side-effects. Adverse effects of taking the drug include constipation, weight gain, drooling and hypotension. Patients may find life harder when they are being treated than when they were just ill.
