Has nurse leadership lost its way?

The future of many training programmes is in dilemma, despite the UK government's rhetoric on the importance of strong nurse leadership. Some of the leadership training for nurses which are available are leading empowered organizations (LEO) which turned on as a national programme but is still run independently by many trusts and leadership at the point of care (LPC) which is coordinated by Essex strategic health authority.
