Having it all
Article Abstract:
Women physicians tend to be perfectionist and over-achievers who lead exhausting and stressful lives. Most of the 100,000 female physicians in the US spend at least six hours per week on household chores in addition to the more than 54 hours they spend on their practices. Women with children are more likely to give up personal and social activities in order to spend some time with their families. In spite of highly stressful lives, limited studies show that women physicians are generally in good health.

Action vs. theory at end of life; ethics of life-prolonging care don't always fit bedside decisions
Article Abstract:
Physicians and nurses who treat terminally ill patients often struggle over medical decisions and complain that terminal patients often do not receive proper care, according to a survey of 1,400 doctors and nurses. The survey reveals that many terminal patients do not receive the proper pain medication and often times are given life-prolonging treatment that is overly burdensome. About 50% of the respondents said they have acted against their conscience in providing care to terminal patients.
