Prevention of Cardiovascular events after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Article Abstract:
It is reported that oral supplementation with a combination of folic acid and vitamins B6 and B12 significantly increased the risk of restenosis among patients who received bare-stents. This contradicts the results of the Swiss Heart Study, in which folic acid supplementation was associated with a marked reduction in restenosis and target-vessel revascularization after perconary intervention.
