Pot luck
Article Abstract:
North Tees Hospital has been selling National Lottery tickets since its launch in November 1994. The hospital is the first NHS trust to sell tickets and it invests the 5% commission into an 'extra care' fund for patients. The hospital also runs an in-house lottery draw, which has recently enabled the purchase of a mobile X-ray link, patient monitoring equipment, a fibre-optic bronchoscope, and infusion controllers valued at 50,000 pounds sterling.
