The Institute of Medical (IOM) describes various assessment reports to evaluate clinical skills for relicensing application. The report calls for a collective effort by all health care disciplines to improve patient safety and health care quality by focusing on the set of core competencies in education.

Colo. seeks to end doctor oversight of nurse anesthetists

Colorado wants to take advantage of the federal program initiated in 2001 that allows certified registered nurse anesthetists to work without physician supervision. Physician supervision had been required by Medicare.
