Improving patient nutrition
Article Abstract:
The state of nutrition in schools is brought to public attention and is criticized for providing food of poor nutritional value to students. Nurses can improve their patients nutrition by making patient's nutritional status a priority, by involving parents, families and carers, or hospital catering managers while preparing and supplying the patient's food and making use of screening tools, such as Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) and food charts.

A systematic approach to the improvement of patient care
Article Abstract:
The successes and continuing frustrations of work to improve patient care on a ward are highlighted. Key factors contributing to success included a systematic approach to practice development, ward leadership, attention to organisation of patient care and valuing of core nursing skills.

The removal of sutures

Sutures, a method of wound closure has to be removed efficiently to ensure proper healing of a wound, as it promotes tissue regeneration and prevents pain but should be always done with utmost care after discussing it with a medical practitioner to avoid any ill-effects.
