Incidence and outcomes of acute lung injury
Article Abstract:
A prospective cohort study is conducted to determine the incidence and outcome of acute lung injury, which is a critical syndrome consisting of acute hypoxemic respiratory failure with bilateral pulmonary infiltrates. Findings reveal that acute lung injury has a substantial impact on public health, with an incidence in the US that is considerably higher than previous reports have suggested.
