Successful sealing of fetoscopic access sites with collagen plugs in the rabbit model
Article Abstract:
Collagen plugs can plug up the hole in the fetal membranes caused by fetoscopy. Fetoscopy is used to retrieve diagnostic samples from the fetus but this requires making a hole in the fetal membranes.

Increased polymorphonuclear infiltration and iatrogenic amniotic band after closure of fetoscopic access sites with a bioactive membrane in the rabit at midgestation
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on fetoscopic access sites. The authors have investigated the safety and efficacy of these sites' closure via the use of bioactive membrane containing transforming growth factor-beta and basic fibroblast growth factor, and they report that the use of bioactive membrane has improved fetal membrane repair rates.
