Investment in the future: act now to save important student aid program
Article Abstract:
Legislators intent on lowering the federal deficit should not penalize in-school students by canceling their student loan interest exemption. The majority of medical students now use these loans, and loss of the exemption would add thousands of dollars to their already heavy indebtedness at graduation. The country benefits greatly from the highly trained graduates of medical schools and other college programs.
