Legal issues concerning the withholding of feeding from patients
Article Abstract:
The legal issues surrounding the health professionals who face the dilemma of withholding food or considering alternative methods of feeding a patient who cannot take food and fluids by mouth are examined. The law surrounding this area of practice is complex and dependent upon case law that is also known as common law or judge-made law.
