Luck of the draw?
Article Abstract:
Women are more likely to die of breast cancer in the UK than anywhere else in the world. Survival rates within the UK depend on where you live, the treatment you receive, and the expertise of the doctor you see. It is important to see a doctor with specialist knowledge of the disease. Women need to examine their breasts regularly because early detection is an important factor in survival rates. There is a wide variation in the quality of treatments offered and the UK chief medical officer recommends that there should be specialist centres set up around the country.
