Article Abstract:
The relationship between the male psychiatric nurse and the female patient can be a difficult one. The women may make claims of sexual abuse which could be genuine, or could relate to earlier experiences of sexual abuse, or could be a deliberate desire to cause problems for a hated nurse. The nurse too may feel a genuine desire for a patient, so an important issue is how much can be expected of male nurses in these circumstances. A third point for consideration is whether sexual feelings on the part of the patient may be part of their recovery.

Article Abstract:
Effective tracing of close family members or social contacts is imperative in the treatment of head lice. Nursing staff should encourage those who have reported head lice to use the right treatments and follow up regular inspection of the family's hair on a weekly basis. Treatment should only be carried out on hair which has live lice living on the hair follicles. It is important to trace the source of an infection as carriers may have little or no symptoms and are therefore a constant risk to others.
