Bodybuilding training can benefit people aged 40 and beyond, since it helps retard, reduce or completely prevent age-related ailments, such as coronary artery disease, diabetes and hypertension. It also retards the occurrence of sarcopenia, an age-related loss of muscle common in people above 40 or 50 years of age.
