Musculoskeletal pain and the progression of disability among older women with disability
Article Abstract:
Chronic pain can cause disability in many elderly women. In a study of 1002 elderly women, those who had chronic pain in their arms, legs, and back were almost twice as likely to have difficulty carrying out daily activities as those with no pain.

Eating fruits and vegetables helps prevent coronary heart disease
Article Abstract:
People who eat fruits and vegetables may have a lower risk of developing coronary heart disease than those who do not. Green leafy vegetables and vegetables with high amounts of vitamin C are especially beneficial.

Effects of hormone replacement therapy on cholesterol levels in elderly women
Article Abstract:
Hormone replacement therapy can increase blood levels of HDL, or 'good' cholesterol and lower blood levels of LDL, or 'bad' cholesterol. This could reduce the risk of coronary artery disease in older women.
