NHS conditions are demoralizing nursing students
Article Abstract:
The conditions of patients and staff in NHS is becoming worse day by day, as the staffs have to struggle against lot of odds, which adversely affects the dignity, respect and care of the patients admitted there. The author reveals that the prevailing conditions are demoralizing students from taking up nursing as their career because the pathetic and uncared conditions of the patients disgust them and hurts their conscience.

Enabling students to develop confidence in basic clinical skills
Article Abstract:
The simulated clinical situations provided by nursing colleges in the skills week, which enabled the nursing students to practice their basic clinical skills and develop confidence are presented. Assessment and observation, personal hygiene, moving and handling, first aid, care planning and communication are the six areas covered in the skills week.
