Neurocognitive function in HIV-infected patients with low weight and weight loss
Article Abstract:
Neurocognitive function in HIV -infected patients with low weight and weight loss is determined. HIV-infected men at low weight demonstrate moderate impairment in verbal learning and other measures of neurocognitive functions, whereas women demonstrate significantly reduced verbal learning, memory and motor function.

Increased cardiovascular disease risk indices in HIV-infected women
Article Abstract:
A study investigated the cardiovascular disease risk indices in 100 consecutively recruited HIV-infected women and 75 healthy female control subjects. HIV-infected women demonstrate significantly increase risk factors for cardiovascular disease in association with abnormal fat distribution.

Effects of weight, body composition, and testosterone on bone mineral density in HIV-infected women
Article Abstract:
The effects of reduced androgen levels, changes in weight, body composition and menstrual dysfunction on bone mineral density (BMD) among HIV infected women is carried out. It is indicated that BMD is reduced among HIV-infected women in association with other symptoms.
