Constructive criticism is not whining
Article Abstract:
Physicians should complain when they feel the health care system is lowering the quality and access of medical care. Problems of over-regulation, hospital and government bureaucracy, and difficult insurers can not only hinder health care delivery, but also lead to increased distress and rage among doctors. Physicians need to keep problems in perspective and fight for their rights.

Nurse anesthetists want to go solo: proposal removes Medicare requirement for physician oversight
Article Abstract:
A Health Care Financing Administration proposal that would defer physician monitoring of nurse anesthetists to the states is overwhelmingly opposed by anesthesiologists. They argue that the proposal would compromise patient quality of care. The proposal constitutes a major change in policy for the HCFA, which had previously ruled against relinquishing the monitoring requirement.
