Article Abstract:
The treatment for depression has more chances of improving the symptoms of arthritis. A recent study in the U.S. shows that an enhanced care for depression and a personalized program including education and treatment options like antidepressant medications and psychotherapy sessions have a greater impact on the arthritis.

Seasonal depression: A matter of light
Article Abstract:
The persistent bouts of feeling low during winters that does not seem to let up until the warm, sunny days of spring is called seasonal affective disorder (SAD). The treatment options include the use of light therapy (phototherapy), medication and talk therapy (psychotherapy).

Recognizing depression
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning ways of identifying the signs of depression are discussed, including loss of interest in daily activities, disturbances of sleep, low self-esteem, impaired concentration and weight changes. Ways in which people can help a depressed friend are recommended.
