Filipinos from all walks of life enthusiastically took part in the government's National Immunization Day held on Mar. 16, 1994. The dedication and unity displayed by the people strongly reflect their collective desire to protect their children from diseases and bring about a healthy society.

Every country must continue holding poliomyelitis immunization campaigns until the disease is eradicated globally. Once this is achieved, all countries will immediately realize significant benefits, particularly in terms of savings in health care costs.
