Noninvasive ventilation and COPD
Article Abstract:
The use of noninvasive ventilation for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease who suffer from hypercapnia is described. The procedure uses variable positive airway pressure to help the patient expel excess carbon dioxide in the lungs.
