Fetal growth and maternal exposure to particulate matter during pregnancy
Article Abstract:
The possibility that air pollution promotes intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) is examined, focusing on pregnant women in the Czech Republic. Research indicates that IUGR can be induced during the early stages of fetal development, but further study of the relationship between air pollution and IUGR is still needed.
