Wound cleansing: guidelines for A&E staff
Article Abstract:
Accident and emergency units deal with a wide range of injuries, and nurses are increasingly expected to use their initiative and treat these themselves. The lack of clear guidelines to outline the most appropriate procedures and methods of treating different wounds is a problem for many nurses. Suggested methods of treating various types of wounds, plus the advantages and disadvantages of different techniques, are given.
