Pain medications: Options may be changing
Article Abstract:
Several studies regarding certain pain medications indicate that they are associated with heart attacks. The cardiovascular risk associated by a class of drug known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which include the COX-2 inhibitors, and some of the alternative pain medications that might be as effective as COX-2 inhibitors are described.

Statins: Cholesterol treatment and beyond
Article Abstract:
Statins medication drugs lowers cholesterol levels and help reduce risk of heart attack and stroke by blocking an enzyme that liver needs to manufacture cholesterol. Statins are capable of reducing LDL cholesterol levels by 20 percent to 60 percent and are prescribed after heart attack or stroke.

Phobias: Overcoming your fears

Phobia could be described as a state where an irrational fear becomes uncontrollable to the point that it interferes with the person's daily life. Antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, beta-blockers, cognitive therapy and behavior therapy could be used to treat various types of phobias.
