Pathologists' suit challenges Medicare reimbursement rules

New rules concerning reimbursement of pathologists for services rendered under Medicare are being challenged by a lawsuit submitted by the College of American Pathologists. Pathologists maintain that the new rules would have an adverse influence on their practice and the quality of patient care.

Reagan's budget calls for cuts in Medicare, Medicaid spending
