Beyond the buyout
Article Abstract:
Group medical practice buyouts, if not carefully thought out, can turn out badly. All aboard?
Article Abstract:
Many physicians who never bothered to seek board certification are now finding themselves excluded from managed-care plans, most of which now require all of their new physicians to be certified. Doctors may be able to overcome this problem by meeting one-on-one with plans' credentialing officials, seeking help from medical societies, or enlisting the help of satisfied patients.
