Paul Epstein
Article Abstract:
A profile of Paul Epstein, associate director of Harvard University's Center for Health and the Global Environment, who has made it his life's goal to study the acute consequences of climate change on public health, is presented. Epstein has succeeded in bringing together insurers, national and global agencies, and scientists from multiple disciplines not usually known for their cooperation to explore the issue, and the report which he coauthored, has gone out to Swiss Re's clients and members of the US Congress and is used in classes at Columbia and Harvard Universities.
