Pointing fingers: system problems are all their fault
Article Abstract:
Every participant in the healthcare system, the doctor, the lawyer, the insurer, the patient, seems intent on blaming everyone else for the system's problems. All participants must realize that they are part of both the problem and the solution. Each participant, in order to change the system for the better, must tell the truth and demonstrate a willingness to change. Fear and illusion are the true enemies of healthcare reform.

There are many pros and cons for physicians to adopt the latest computer record systems in their practices, but whether they choose to purchase or to wait, all should benefit from educating themselves on the subject. Understanding the value of computerization can position doctors for the future and make them more savvy about reports generated by HMOs and integrated delivery systems.
