Postoperative tailored radiotherapy for locally advanced breast carcinoma during pregnancy: a therapeutic dilemma
Article Abstract:
When doctors discovered that a woman with breast cancer receiving radiation treatment was pregnant, they were able to reduce the dose of radiation so she could continue receiving treatment and still maintain the pregnancy. Normally, pregnant women with cancer are advised to have an abortion.

Pregnancy-associated recurrent hemolytic uremic syndrome with fetal thrombotic vasculopathy in the placenta
Article Abstract:
Hemolytic uremic syndrome in pregnant women may also affect the fetus, according to doctors who treated a pregnant woman who developed the syndrome in two of her three pregnancies. Examination of the placenta after the third birth showed severe damage that might have hurt the fetus.
