Hair loss after routine immunizations
Article Abstract:
Some vaccines may cause temporary hair loss in some people. Since 1984, 60 reports of hair loss, or alopecia, have been reported following vaccination. Forty-six of the patients had been vaccinated with the hepatitis B vaccine but other vaccines were also linked to hair loss. Sixteen lost hair following more than one vaccination. Nine patients had a history of drug allergy. Most of the patients' hair grew back eventually.
