Public prayer: does it offend you? 72% say no

A readers' poll on the subjects of public prayer and religion indicates that 60% of the respondents believe prayer should be allowed in schools. A majority of respondents favored public display of religious objects such as menorahs and nativity scenes and an increased public awareness of religion.

Should neighbors be warned about sex offenders?

A survey of Glamour magazine readers found that 94% support a so-called Megan's Law requiring notification of neighbors when a sex offender moves nearby. Fifty-one percent favor longer prison sentences to reduce sex crimes.
