RCN slammed for using nurse shortage to bargain on pay
Article Abstract:
The RCN is unable to provide exact figures about nurse shortages, and therefore should not use this issue as a weapon in its battle to improve pay rates for nurses, according to some observers. At a recent RCN conference which focused on motivation and morale, speakers reported that nurse morale is at very low levels and that there is clear circumstantial evidence of nurse shortages, even if no definite figures are available.
