Reflections on the Lasker Prize for basic biomedical research

Lasker Award recipient Paul Berg reflectson the significance of the Lasker awards for the credibility, advancement, adoption, and recognition of scientific discovery. He received Mary Lasker Foundation Award in Basic Medicinal Research for his work in developing the recombinant DNA technology in 1980 and also received the Nobel Prize in the same year.
