Risk factors for HIV infection in a national adult population: Evidence from the 2003 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey
Article Abstract:
Data from the cross-sectional, population-based 2003 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey is used to assess the demographic, social, behavioral and biological variables as risk factors for HIV infection among men and women in Kenya. The results have indicated that differences in biological factors such as circumcision and sexually transmitted infections are important in assessing risk for HIV than differences in sexual behavior.
