Article Abstract:
A different approach is needed when calculating the cost in money terms caused by accidents both in the home and on the road with the costing model used by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) an appropriate system. A more detailed approach to collating data relating to accidents would help determine where blame should be apportioned, what situations should be avoided and what costs should be awarded to compensate victims.
