Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars mark 35 years of health services research
Article Abstract:
The Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Clinical Scholars Program is giving young physicians the time and resources to diverge from traditional careers in medicine and is also creating innovativeness that have given rise to the contemporary field of health services research from the past three decades. The main objectives and the achievements of the program since its inception in 1972 are discussed.

Mental health professionals warned that hurricane Katrina created an unprecedented need for ongoing mental services in several years to come. Even two weeks after Katrina devastated the US gulf coast in August 2005, mental health repercussions for thousands of overwhelmed survivors were not fully determined.
