Amebiasis
Article Abstract:
Infection with Entamoeba histolytica is a common cause of diarrhea in developing countries. It is usually transmitted by food or water that is contaminated with human or animal waste. There are several effective drugs and researchers hope to develop a vaccine, since humans can develop partial immunity once they are infected.
