Blighted childhood
Article Abstract:
School nurses can play a major role in helping the estimated 10%-25% of children who are victims of bullying at school and who can suffer long-term damage as a consequence. Many children fear retaliation if they tell parents or teachers that they are being bullied, but feel that they can speak to a school nurse in confidence and receive the help they so badly want. School nurses can help identify incidents of bullying and encourage the implementation of anti-bullying policies in schools.
