Sorting out the confusing array of resin-based composites in dentistry
Article Abstract:
The wide variety of resin-based dental composites may make it hard for dentists to choose an appropriate one. Hybrid resin-based composites are most commonly used and the most useful. Some microfill resin-based composites are not as strong as hyrids although they may have other useful features. Flowable resins can be used in some cases, but they are certainly not indispensable. The same is true for packable resins. Most dentists could get by adequately with only hybrid resin-based composites.
