Nurses, who have not commented in the debate over the pricing of drugs and drugs policies in the past, will have more right to comment in future as they are now beginning to prescribe drugs. The cost of drugs is rising sharply and there needs to be greater care in prescribing. Drugs companies are highly influential in the health sector, and nurses should also wield influence.
