Skin cultures in burns care nursing
Article Abstract:
Monitoring infection and encouraging maximum healing is the most important part of carrying out skin graft treatments on burns patients. Healing is speeded up by ensuring only skin of a certain thickness is used to perform a graft, mostly taken from the leg or back area. Skin grafts enable skin to heal if the depth of a burn is so severe natural healing would be hindered. Skin can be used from donors or twins but the most commonly used skin grafts are from the patients themselves.
