Survey looks at problems in university nursing research
Article Abstract:
Many nursing departments at UK universities feel that there is a need for an improved research capacity, according to a survey undertaken by the Centre for Policy in Nursing Research. They reported that teaching commitments restrict research time and that there is a need for improved access to research funding. Many responses indicated a conflict between meeting the teaching needs of local National Health Service education and training consortia and the need to undertake research.
