Clinical evaluation of two one-bottle dentin adhesives at three years
Article Abstract:
The dental adhesives OptiBond Solo and Prime & Bond 2.1 appear to be effective, according to a study of 33 patients who were followed for up to three years. These adhesives combine priming and bonding functions in a single solution and are therefore called one-bottle adhesives.

Current concepts in dentin bonding: focusing on dentinal adhesion factors
Article Abstract:
Different factors can affect dentin adhesion. Dentin adhesion involves the use of dentin bonding materials to treat root surface lesions. Dentin is the hard portion of a tooth that surrounds the pulp. Microstructural characteristics of dentin are one important factor. These characteristics include smear layer, density, size and length of dentinal tubules and dentin sclerosis. Characteristics of the affected tooth are another important factor. These characteristics include the size and shape of the lesion, tooth enamel and dentin structure, tooth flexure and tooth position. The patient's dental history and age can also affect dentin adhesion. Better understanding of these factors has enabled the development of improved dentin bonding procedures. The new generation of dentin bonding procedures has improved bond strength.

The clinical performance of CAD-CAM-generated ceramic inlays: a four-year study
Article Abstract:
Ceramic restorations generated by computer-assisted design and manufacturing (CAD-CAM) appear to hold up very well. Researchers placed 50 ceramic restorations designed by CAD-CAM into 28 patients and examined 84% of the restorations four years later. They were rated in terms of color-matching, staining, cavities, wear, sensitivity and resistance to fracture. There was some cement loss at the edges but the restorations were intact.
