FERPA, HIPAA, and privacy of college students
Article Abstract:
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) are some of the professional codes of conduct that protect a college student's right to privacy, but they are very confusing as they are often misinterpreted. The Virginia Tech case might help in clarifying these privacy laws and also allow vital communications.

Prohibiting genetic discrimination
Article Abstract:
The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act would prohibit health insurers and employers from requiring a person to take a genetic test. It would also prohibit use of genetic information in setting insurance rates or making employment decisions.
