The efficacy of luting all-ceramic crowns with resin-modified glass ionomer cement
Article Abstract:
It is very unlikely that an all-ceramic crown will fracture when used with resin-modified glass ionomer cement even if the cement expands over a long period of time. This was the conclusion of dentists who tested this type of cement in crowns and then stored the crowns at room temperature and 100% humidity. At 12 weeks, there were no signs of fracture and some crowns were examined four years later and still no fractures were found.
